Mental Health Services
for the Performing Arts

Mental Health and The Performing Arts

The Performing Arts have a unique, intersectional relationship with mental health, that spans the industry from training, to performance, to business management.

Early in 2022, Equitys Mental Health Charter was launched, in line with a sharp increase in experiences of mental health issues, and a growing awareness of how that impacts individuals and businesses within the entertainment sector.

Being well prepared in adopting relevant safeguards and practices, is now vital for staying at the forefront of developing industry standards, and meeting mental health challenges for companies and employees.

With a combined 28 years experience in professional theatre, teaching performing arts at university level, and as a fully qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am ideally placed to support you in mental health risk assessment, training, compliance evaluation, and policy creation and implementation.
